Position Overview: 
Our client is seeking a Subsystems Engineer for Data Handling Systems (m/f/d) to work 
in a dedicated & motivated team on the design and implementation of the data handling 
subsystem and its components (spacecraft control computer, telemetry acquisition units, 
actuator controllers, payload control computers, mass memory units).  

Key Responsibilities: 
● Data handling subsystem sizing 
● Data handling subsystem design 
● Requirements engineering 
● Evaluation of technical proposals from suppliers 
● Technical officer guiding the unit procurement throughout the lifecycle (from 
conception, through design and implementation phases, through unit-level testing 
until system integration & verification) 
● Data handling subsystem implementation 
● Unit- and subsystem verification 
● Launch support and in-orbit commissioning 

Qualifications: 
● University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, 
Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or closely related 
subjects 
● Strong & documented personal interest in electronics design or other technical 
topics. Please feel invited to include a short description of a personal project 
● Ability and desire to work in multi-cultural teams 
● Willingness to travel across to visit our partners, customers, and accompany our 
spacecraft to environmental test facilities and their launch 
● Non-mandatory assets are: 
● Previous experience in the space business 
● Understanding of serial bus systems 
● German Language Skills. Interest in mid-term acquisition of the German 
language is requested
