Position Overview:

Our client seeks an individual to join the Manufacturing Engineering Improvement team.
The role will be to support the manufacturing and engineering teams to develop new /
improve existing processes and techniques. The aim is to improve quality and reduce
cost and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

● Review processes and manufacturing techniques for continuous improvement.
● Manage process documentation for current and new process implementation.
● Help identify, develop and support processes and manufacturing techniques for new products including process design, manufacturing solutions, productivity improvement, validation, and documentation.
● Create engineering specifications for production tooling, designing new processes, working with both customers and internal departments to manage projects.
● Identify and implement processes that reduce product/project risks (both technical and schedule).
● Work with relevant technical support to deliver engineering solutions to complex problems.
● Develop, deploy, and maintain functional engineering standards and standard processes across the different teams in the business.
● Support optimisation of facility layouts and workflows to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Qualifications:
● Qualified Degree/HNC level in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related subject.
● Experience in engineering process development, aerospace manufacturing techniques, and process improvement.
● Understanding of materials science and lean manufacturing principles (beneficial).
● Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and safe working practices.
● Proficiency in creating, interpreting, and reviewing technical documentation and procedures.
● Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders and customers.
● Ability to work under pressure, manage projects, and deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
● High proficiency in PC-based applications.
● Willingness to learn, adapt, and drive change.
