Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Stress Engineer to perform advanced calculations and structural analyses for high performance hardware projects. This role covers the full lifecycle from requirements analysis to test correlation, supporting both internal and external stakeholders with clear technical justifications and documentation. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure structural integrity and compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
● Analyze customer needs and project specifications to derive structural requirements.
● Perform structural sizing and resistance calculations for static, dynamic, and thermal loads, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
● Oversee the execution of static and dynamic tests and correlate analytical models with test results.
● Prepare clear technical documentation covering all calculation phases, including during vibration testing.
● Actively contribute to internal and client meetings to report progress and present technical findings.
Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Bac+5).
● At least 10 years of professional experience in a similar structural analysis role.
● Proven expertise in static, modal, frequency response, shock, vibro-acoustics, and thermoelastic calculations for metallic and fiber-reinforced structures.
● Advanced proficiency with Nastran; knowledge of FEMAP is an advantage.
● Hands-on experience monitoring static and dynamic tests.
● Familiarity with ECSS standards.
● Fluent in French and English, with confidence presenting technical solutions in both languages.
● Independent, organized, and rigorous, with the ability to make and implement well-reasoned technical decisions.
