SPACECRAFT SYSTEM ENGINEER

Nebula Space has an exciting opportunity available for a Spacecraft System Engineer to join a skilled team in the UK, working as the technical architect and facilitating trade-offs across the system design. This Mission and Systems (Satellite) role comes with a compelling salary and benefits package for your dedication and expertise.

As a Spacecraft Systems Engineer, you will work with subsystem engineers and project managers, balancing the needs of the missions and guiding the technical solutions towards a feasible and achievable conclusion. Even after the mission is in orbit, as a Spacecraft Systems Engineer, you may be called upon at critical moments during the mission to provide guidance to the operations team.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities you can expect to take on as a Spacecraft System Engineer will include:
Performing trade-off analyses
Generating and maintaining system-level budgets (mass, power, data)
Preparing sub-system requirements specification to support procurement
Reviewing and modifying FDIR techniques and performing FMEA
Adapting the system design from existing mission architectures to meet the needs of the current work
Authoring and maintaining system-level documents, such as CONOPS, V&V plans, System test plans, etc
To apply for this Systems Engineer role, you will need 2 years of experience in commercial satellite system engineering. You will also require an understanding of all the critical subsystems that make up a satellite mission. In addition, you should have excellent communication skills, the ability to perform complex trade-offs, and comfort working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
