Position Overview:
Our client seeks an In-Orbit Support Engineer to serve as the key point of contact for
customers of active satellites, ensuring smooth operations and continuous service
improvement. You will coordinate teams supporting multiple satellites, enhance
automation processes, and contribute to the efficiency of in-orbit support services.
Key Responsibilities:
● Act as the primary contact for customers of active satellites, understanding their
needs and ensuring high-quality support.
● Collaborate with project managers to provide in-orbit support for current and
future projects.
● Coordinate multiple teams supporting flying satellites, including shift planning and
ensuring teams retain relevant knowledge.
● Implement process improvements and automation to enhance in-orbit support
services.
Qualifications:
● Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
● Professional experience in Satellite System Engineering or a similar role with
detailed knowledge of various systems and subsystems.
● Experience in mission phases E1, E2, and F is an advantage.
● Strong IT knowledge, including networking, scripting, AI, or automation-related
activities.
● Professional experience interacting with customers and suppliers in the space
sector.
● Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
● Strong negotiation skills and ability to work in an international team.
● Highly organized, proactive, and self-managed approach.
