Position Overview: 
Our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead the design and development 
of satellite avionics architecture. This role involves defining system architecture, 
managing avionics subsystems through design and testing, and overseeing interface 
control across physical and protocol levels. Key responsibilities include risk mitigation, 
test planning, and resolving non-conformances, ensuring performance and reliability 
throughout the project lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities: 
● Lead the design of the Avionics architecture of the satellite 
● Define and develop the Avionics Architecture of the satellite, covering initial 
sizing, trade offs, Interface Budgets and HW performances 
● Manage the avionics subsystems (data handling, telemetry and telecommands, 
payload data downlink, laser communications terminal, crypto) during detailed 
design and testing phases as design authority 
● Interface management and control on physical level and across the protocol 
stack 
● Development risk management and mitigation 
● Test planning and supervision 
 ● Non-conformance closure 

Qualifications: 
● A degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering, systems 
engineering, or compatible qualification 
● 6 years of professional experience in space- or aircraft avionics domain 
● 3 years of professional experience leading technical teams of at least 2 domains 
● Experience with hardware projects in phase B/C/D in the field of avionics 
systems 
● Proven capability to deliver project results in time and budget 
● Excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work independently 
● Fluency in spoken and written English 
● Fluency in German is desired (Language skills can be improved through 
company-facilitated trainings)
