Position Overview:
Our client seek a Propulsion Engineer to supporting critical system projects as well as future work on engines, systems, and fluidic components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering input in the design and development of new products, including generating designs and technical drawings, performing functional and mechanical analyses, and managing suppliers.
- Analyze data to ensure products meet performance requirements.
- Support hot-fire tests of rocket engines and assist in bids and proposals.
- Design and manage manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test equipment.
- Interface with other engineering teams and marketing to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Produce and present documentation for internal and customer meetings (PDR, CDR, TRR).
- PTC Creo, Ansys Structural, Ansys Thermal, EcoSim Pro, Python, LabView (training available if needed).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant field with 3+ years of industrial experience.
- Working knowledge of bipropellant and monopropellant rocket engines and thrusters.
- Experience in thermal analysis and regeneratively cooled combustion chamber design preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and safe working practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in CAD, LabWorks, and related design tools.
